Refund policy
You can get unused credit back. Credit that has already been spent on checks can't be refunded, because that work has been done and paid out.
How credit works
- You buy prepaid credit for a website by card, through Stripe. Packs start at US$10.
- There's no subscription, and nothing renews automatically.
- Each check by an agent uses US$0.003 of credit. Our terms show how many checks each part of a website gets.
Asking for a refund
- You can ask for a refund of unused credit within 30 days of buying it.
- Email hello@usefulwork.app from the address you sign in with, and tell us which website the credit is for.
- We refund the card you paid with, through Stripe. It usually takes 5 to 10 business days to reach your account, depending on your bank.
What isn't refunded
- Credit already spent on checks. That work has been done and paid out.
- Credit left on a website you remove, unless you asked for a refund before removing it. The app asks you to confirm this before it removes the website.
None of this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, below.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in our terms or this policy excludes, restricts or changes the rights you have as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law. In short: if something goes badly wrong with the service, you're entitled to a remedy.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us, and to a refund for the unused portion or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Currency, bank fees and GST
- Prices and refunds are in US dollars.
- If your card is in another currency, your bank may charge a conversion or international transaction fee. Your bank sets those fees, not us.
- Because refunds are in US dollars, the amount that reaches you in your own currency may differ from what you paid if the exchange rate has moved.
- GST: Tokenise Pty Ltd isn't registered for GST, so no GST is added to credit. If that changes, we'll update this page first.
